The Candidate Assistant is a new AI-powered feature that provides a chat interface to help users quickly access and understand candidate information.

The AI assistant can help with analyzing and summarizing the candidate’s information. Responses are generated referencing the following areas of the candidate profile:

• Resumes
• Notes
• Emails
• Texts
• LinkedIn messages (that have been logged in Ashby)
• Interview feedback
• Referrals
• Past and scheduled interviews*
• Interviews pending scheduling*
• Submitted candidate availability
• Candidate and application attribution

*Only the interviews that the specific user will be able to see will be referenced.

The AI assistant can also use this information to highlight any pending actions and next steps. The AI assistant will have context about all of the candidate's active applications and will be able to answer questions about them from a single chat. Information about the application you’re currently viewing will be prioritized in the response.

Enabling and accessing the AI Candidate Assistant

To enable the AI Candidate Assistant in your Ashby account, navigate to Admin > Organization Setup > Opt-In Features. You can then opt-in using the Enable AI Features toggle and check the AI Candidate Assistant checkbox.
