đź’ˇ This document gives an overview of adding new users to Ashby.

Ashby automatically imports all user profiles from your ATS. Users can sign in using Google or Microsoft Single-Sign-On.

In order to provide these users access to Ashby you need to:

 1. Provide the user with permissions
 2. Assign a license

✅ User Permissions

You can grant new users access to Ashby from the Admin > Employee section.

Since you likely want to prevent users from seeing information about themselves, you should link their candidate profile to their user profile.

To link an employee’s profile to their candidate profile, open an employee profile, then search for their corresponding candidate profile by name. Then select Link Profiles.

Once this is completed, you can grant them a set of permissions. The most common permissions are described below.

Separately, you need to assign them a license in the license tab.

Limited Access

Limited to being scheduled for interviews, providing interview feedback, and referring candidates.

Elevated Access

Starts with the same basic permissions as Limited Access users, but can be granted additional permissions for parts of your organization via Access Roles. Employees with this global role do not have access to anything in the Admin tab.

Organization Admin

Starts with full access to the entire organization but access can be narrowed down for parts of your organization via Access Roles. They can edit other user’s permissions and can edit all organization data: Tags, Interviews, Email Templates, etc. Users do not have access to confidential jobs unless explicitly granted.
