Section overview:
Sources describe where a candidate was introduced to your organization by job consideration (each application has a unique source). Ashby's default source types are Inbound, Internal, Referral, and Sourced.
You have the option to create new top-level source types or sources beneath them. Source types are helpful for grouping sources in reports. Once set up, you'll be able to link sources to candidates, custom tracked links, and API Keys. You can access sources by going to Admin → Organization Setup → Candidate Sources.
See the table below for information on the roles that have access to create source types and sources.

To create a Source Type like the default Inbound and Internal types, click the purple + New Source Type button.
To add a Source, click the purple + New Source button.
You can manually add and view sources in the Attribution section in the Activities & Progress section of a candidate profile.
To add or update a source, click the field and select the source from the dropdown menu. If you can't see the one you want, start typing the source name and it will populate.

You can add sources to custom tracking links to automatically apply a source from an external job board. Navigate to Admin → Job Boards → Custom Tracking Links, set up a custom tracked link, and include the source in the appropriate field.
