Introduction

The robust selection of Fields for filtering and grouping operations drives Ashby's reporting functionality. Fields are organized into Subjects and Related Subjects representing the underlying data object.

For example, a candidate has many properties (name, phone number, etc) which we expose as Fields, and all of the candidate-related Fields are grouped into the Candidate Subject in the reporting interface.

If you scroll further down a Subject’s Field list, you will see the other Subjects and Related Subjects available to filter on/show in a report as well. They are indicated by a folder icon.
