Section overview:
The Copy Dashboard Function
To make a copy of an existing dashboard, select More > Copy Dashboard.
- The copy dashboard functionality is limited to admin licenses holders that have the ability to edit and create content in Ashby.
When selecting Copy Dashboard, you'll be presented with an interface to optionally use the existing reports or create new copies of reports for your new dashboard.
- Use current: Ashby allows the same report to be added to multiple dashboards. This will copy the report into your new dashboard using a reference to the existing report. The primary benefit of this choice is avoiding needless duplication of a report you do not plan to change.
- Save as new: If you plan to modify a report on the new dashboard, use this option to save the report as a new copy. On your new dashboard, you can modify the report(s) without impacting the original dashboard they were copied from.
Copy Dashboard Options
- Give your new dashboard a name
- Select whether you want to include the existing reports or save new copies
- Optionally rename the reports you will copy over as new
- Select Copy to create your new dashboard
