To allow inbound applications for your job via your Ashby job board, you’ll need to create a job posting. Creating, publishing and listing your job posting will allow it to be pulled through to third-party job boards if you have job board integrations in place. Job Postings include the job description and is where you can assign an application form for applicants to complete.
You will need to have created a job prior to setting up a job posting. You can read more on creating and opening a job at Creating & Opening Jobs

To create, draft and publish a job posting, click into your job, then click on the Job Postings tab in the left-hand navigation bar. Click New Draft to get started.

You can create a draft job posting while your job is in a Draft state but your job must be set to Open in order to publish your job posting.

Once you’ve created your draft posting, you’ll have five different tabs that you can navigate to to add in posting information.
Social Description: The description information added to the Social Description field will show when the posting is shared on social media (for example, linked in a post on LinkedIn). There is a limit of 200 characters.
Description: The information added here will be shown to applicants when they view this job on your Ashby job board (on the Overview tab). The description will also be pulled to any third-party job boards you choose to integrate with. You can add links, images and videos to your description using the toolbar at the bottom of the field.
Title: You can opt to add a different job title to your posting. Amending the title here will not impact the title of the job internally in Ashby. So, for example, if the Head of Marketing title was amended to be Head of Digital Marketing in this field, the job posting would reflect the new title but the job will still show as Head of Marketing to an internal user when viewing the job in Ashby.
Job Boards: Select the job boards this posting should be listed on. Here you can choose from your external Ashby job board, your internal Ashby job board (more on this at Internal Job Board), or both.
External Visibility: Here you can choose to list your job publicly on your Ashby job board (Listed) or not (Unlisted). If a job posting is published but set as Unlisted, an applicant can still access it if they have a direct link to the posting. Please note that for unlisted postings added to the internal job board, users would still need to sign in to be able to view the posting.
Third-Party Job Boards: If you have any third-party job board integrations in place, you can choose the job boards that you’d like to display this posting using the checkboxes in the drop-down.

If you are using an XML feed to pull your job postings to LinkedIn (rather than the direct integration listed in *Integrations),* then deselecting LinkedIn from the checkboxes here will not stop your job posting from being listed on LinkedIn. This option will only work for the direct LinkedIn integration.
