Take-home overview

If your interview process involves candidates completing a take-home project or assignment, the Take Home activity will allow you to define the details of the assignment including reviewer and candidate instructions, who the assigned reviewer is, and how the candidate should submit their assignment. A Take-Home activity should almost always be paired with a Send Email activity.

Setup the take-home

A take-home activity can be added to the corresponding stage of a job’s interview plan. See below for step-by-step setup instructions

Add the take-home activity

First, navigate to the Interview Plans tab of the job you want to add it to, scroll to the appropriate stage, click the purple + Activity button, and select Take-home.

Assign one or more reviewers

Assign the appropriate reviewers. Much like interviewers on a Schedule Interview activity, you can add multiple reviewers to one slot to create a round-robin, or add multiple reviewer slots, so multiple people review an assignment.

Setup a Send Email activity to send the assignment

Now that you’ve configured the Take Home activity, you’ll need to configure an Email Template and Send Email activity to streamline sending instructions to the candidate.

Email template for self-submission (recommended)

With self-submission, you’ll embed the Take Home Submission Link token in the email template
