Exporting Data from Workable

You can reach out to Workable here to get a full export of your data. The export will contain two .zip files. You can find a full list of everything included in the export here. Once you’ve received the links to the files from Workable, you can send those over to your Success Manager or to the Scaled Success team ([email protected]) for importing.

Importing Workable Data into Ashby

Once we’ve received your files, our engineering team will get to work on the import. Depending on the size of the file, the import typically takes up to 72 business hours.

We import the following data:

Jobs All jobs, including imported roles can be viewed here. Be sure to check your Archived jobs too, to ensure all imported jobs are listed in your Ashby account post-import.

To view all jobs (including Archived and Closed jobs), click the trash can icon on the Jobs > Admin page to remove the filters.

Candidates You can view and search through all candidates (including imports) here.


Messages Messages will be added as notes to the candidate’s profile.


Comments Comments will be added as notes to the candidate’s profile.

Ratings These will be mapped as scorecards in Ashby.

Resumes These will be added to the candidate’s profile.

<aside> 💡 In order to import jobs from Workable, they will need to have a location and a department assigned to them. A dummy ‘Workable Import’ department and location can be added by our team to imported jobs if they do not have these already. The jobs can be amended post-import to assign the correct department and location.

Interview stages for candidates aren’t mapped due to lack of data provided from Workable. Therefore, candidates are imported into the following stages: Application Review, Hired, or Archived.

Post-Import

Once the import is complete, you’ll be notified by your Success Manager or the Scaled Success team. You can then amend the departments and locations linked to your imported jobs.
