Generating & Saving Reports

When you select a template or custom report type within the report builder the three key elements for report building will be highlighted above the generated report:

The subject: The type of record being counted. In the example pictured, jobs are being counted.

The timeframe: The timestamp used and the date range to determine the results that should be included. In the example pictured, the timestamp being used is the date the job was opened and the time range is over the last six quarters, displayed by month.

The field the results are grouped by: How the results are further grouped to determine how they are displayed on the report. In our example, the data is already grouped by month in the Timeframe section but you can click Select a field… to group by an additional field.

You can also use the icons down the right-hand side of the report results to make adjustments.

Subject: Change the subject of the report (the record being counted).

Visualization: Set your chart style and any goal lines if needed. For count over time reports, you can also amend other visuals like how the count is displayed on the report.

Filters: Filter by additional fields to only pull the most relevant data to you and your team.

Groupings: Amend the fields that the report is grouped by or add additional fields for grouping.

Settings: Adjust the title and timezone on the report and optionally add any notes.

Once you’ve made any adjustments needed to the report, you can click Save Report. Add a title, set whether the report is private or note and add it to any relevant dashboards as needed. You also have the option to add notes if needed. Click Save Report to then add the report to your saved reports. Saved reports can be accessed under Reports > Saved Reports.
